The Hummingbird

I posted this brief story a couple weeks ago on Facebook but know not all of our family and friends are on there. I wanted to share this amazing experience of a little hummingbird encounter. Here's my Facebook entry:

Once in a lifetime.... Michael and I found a hummingbird trapped in our garage this evening (red house - what do you expect?). We thought it escaped a little while later and closed the doors. I went out one last time just to be sure. Glad I did - all of a sudden - I heard a flutter and this teeny little thing dropped t...o the floor. I ran over and scooped it up. It was still alive but exhausted. We sat together on the back stairs and tried to feed it sugar water. But he just needed a good 15 minute rest. After a little while he perked up, stretched his wings and took off. Pretty amazing and was a nice moment of peace.
