Pants on the Ground

Yes, I have to blog about it.

For those fellow America Idol followers, you know what I'm talking about. The newest catchy song that premiered on Idol a couple weeks ago.

Catchy enough that I look like a fool singing it to the kids and dancing around the house.

But it makes them laugh. The first time I broke out in song it was just Liam and I in the kitchen. He was eating his cereal and having his milk. His sisters were still sleeping. I don't think he knew what hit him when I started stomping around singing "Pants on the Ground.. Pants on the Ground.. Lookin' like a fool with your pants on the Ground. Gold in ya mouth..hat turned sideways, walkin' downtown lookin' like a fool wit' ya Pants on the Ground". (That's my version at least). I thought Liam was going to choke when he burst out laughing the way an almost 14 month old could. I don't know if his laughing squeals were from watching his crazy mommy, as white as I am, attempt to sing and dance to this goofy rap song or if he thoroughly enjoyed the song itself.

I doubt we'll ever catch these performances on camera (it would be shameful). But for now it brings a smile to their face, or with the girls a roll of their eyes (I swear they can do that).

Try it with yours - they might just beg for more.

It's amazing what we'll do for laughs for our kids! :-) And it doesn't stop when they get older either. There is absolutely nothing better than listening to belly laughs from my kiddos.
