We made it to the 32 weeks mark last Friday and in two days will reach 33 weeks. Only 2 more weeks until we reach our personal goal of 35 weeks! Yahoo! And if I can hold out an extra week to make it to 36, we'll do it! Of course I'm having a good day today to say that. On not so good days it's back to 35.
My appointments are now on Wednesdays and the babies had their growth check this afternoon. They are just slightly under the average size but are doing fantastic and are considered normal.
Their estimated weights are:
Alaina 4 lbs
Kiera 4 lbs 1 oz
Liam 4 lbs 1 oz
My doctor was quite impressed with their weights and how everything is going to date. I did ask if there was an estimate for a scheduled c-section (which is the route we will be going thanks to the girls being breech) and he said not at this time. It looks like we will just be waiting until labor strikes - which could be at any time.
My cervix had been holding strong for weeks at around 4.5. Last week it went below 4 and this week it was around 2.5. It's still in the normal range but to me it means times' a tickin'!
Last week Michael and I went to the "Planned C-Section" class at the hospital and had the grand tour last night. The tour was definately aimed for people going the normal delivery route but it was still informative. One of the nurseries had the shades up and had a newborn against the window. The baby was so small but was probably about 7 pounds and just too cute! It made us more anxious to meet our three.
I added some new belly shots and made a slideshow for your viewing pleasure on the previous posting. People tell me a lot that I don't look like I'm carrying triplets - just one big baby. They say how good I look and that I'm small. Then I think to myself - "What am I supposed to look like????" I sure don't feel small anymore! I am now measuring 43 weeks and have gained a total of 46 1/2 pounds. Since the babies are on target, that just means I'll have less to lose once they are born!
Well, I think that's about it for now. Until the next post!
